the problem with that is - this version is no longer available. What info there is - always mentions downloading from Bosch or Motorcraft. I have read in the Thread 'Idiots guide to IDS' somewhere that V2.1.119.3 will work with V86 - but I must admit its alot to read through - and becomes easily confusing.

It unfortunately fails with 14 mins left to completion. I have tried that with V86 - thats when it should roll back from V2.1.119.3 to V2.1.1.5.

Vcm2 press the red reset button in and hold it while you insert the usb into the laptop for the first time, wait 10 seconds till you hear vcm beep them let go of the button and then the laptop will see it as a etas usb, run ids and it'll say that there is software update available for the vcm(the vcm is currently blank after the rest procedure so ids will want to install the driver which should be 119 that you want but it may be an idea to have Wi-Fi off just so ids can't update via the web.Īgree to updating the vcm2 and it'll show a progress bar and about 50 mins, let that update and it'll be done, run xprog then you should be done. Then install v86 web, then shut down, run v86 licence (in xp mode and as admin-do this wherever possible for v86, c81, xprog etc) Then install winzip and acrobat reader (not essential but help) Wipe the laptop clean format and install w7 32bit(ideally for this but you can use 64, xpsps3, w10, but not w8) I could be wrong - but its worth a shot at this point if I can avoid going to V91 at this point. So if I can use a VCM2 V2.1.119.3 firmware install - this will replace the V2.1.1.5 files. If I try to roll the VCM back using V86 - it just fails. The problem I believe is that V86 runs V2.1.1.5 and so it does not match the VCMII firmware. I suspect if I run this with V86 installed - it will match the V86 ETAS files in the install, and therefore align and operate with the VCMII which I have now managed to get installed with V2.1.119.3 firmware. I would really like to try VCM2 V2.1.119.3 firmware download. I do not currently believe it is the vehicle that's the concern, although I understand the query and it would be nice to try on another vehicle - but I don't have access to another Ford currently. However with regards to confirming communications are possible with the modules - I am able to communicate with all modules on this van using my Delphi 150 kit.

I am - running a CF53 Windows 7 32bit BTW.į2 - the HDD twice - but still sees I have no valid licence for V91 or V101 - hence - why I would like to continue with V86. Or offer any further advice - for using V86 - I dont really want to use V91 - or V101 - because the 3 day licence concern is stuffed now on 2 HDD units.

I suspect that its either a license issue or I need firmware V2.1.119.3.ĭoes anyone have this firmware level I could download please?Īre there any links I have missed in this thread other than the Bosch site? I even tried the xprog download.(I think the Xprog is just for Module programming access rather than basic diagnostic comms access though). It communicates with some modules such as the RCM - which had a fuse fail DTC of C1414 - and also cleared it, but just will not communicate with the PCM. However it will not read the 2004 Transit T260 2.0TDDI - PCM. I downloaded this - and finally IDS V86 sees my VCM 2 unit. I have read that I need v2.1.119.3 for the VCM, however the Bosch site only currently lists - v2.3.85.7. So I have been running V86, but the VCM 2 would not communicate with the IDS software. I have experienced the annoying nightmare of the 3 day trials on V91 and V101. I ordered V100 but it cam with V86, V91 & V101. I have bought an IDS with VCMII HQ unit and software. I have read through a lot of threads regarding IDS V86, V91, and the lovely VCM 2 / VCMII clone concerns.

The VCMII Firmware version V2.1.119.3 has been loaded successfully using V91, but alas - I have stuffed the 3 day trial up on 2 x Hard Drives (HDD) now. I have tried rolling it back using the IDS V86 software and the VCI Manager - but it will not complete the roll back to V86 lower VCMII firmware version. My V86 Software will not operate with my SP177 VCMII firmware version V2.1.119.3.
